It’s 2042. The Last War is over. The Great Upgrade has begun to combat the volatile climate. Lucidity, an ultra-realistic metaverse utilizing Brain Computer Interface, is the hot new tech. Meanwhile, James Grady, a teacher and recovering drug addict, has finally found a quiet life. That is until he discovers his long-lost father hiding in Lucidity. For James, this fantasy world – rife with questionable avatars, vices that test his sobriety, and a cult using its tech for deadly experiments – is nothing but trouble. It’s also unlike anything he has ever experienced. While his pregnant wife is forced into the FBI’s hunt for the cult, James goes deep into Lucidity’s darkest corners, searching for a father whose murky past continues to surface. As the cult becomes more dangerous, so does Lucidity, but that’s where James must return to if he hopes to save his unborn child from a bleak future. It seems as though the same secret that tore his family apart is also what threatens the world’s short-lived peace.

In 2017, my wife and I moved to Philadelphia, a small town compared to my home of sixteen years, New York City (Astoria, Queens – to be more precise). With my focus on completing a single novel, I wound up writing four. Although I’m full of ideas, the inspiration for The Sun Follower came from the search for my father in Second Life. In my books, every character is a soul I’ve encountered, who somehow drifted into one of my parallel universes. There is always a little blood on the page.
In New York, I founded two popular bands and worked as a songwriter and producer at an indie label, amongst many other creative endeavors. After a decade that played out like a dramatic episode of Behind the Music, my life is gladly now much tamer. I’m a creative coach to writers and musicians. I also freelance as a sound engineer for dozens of podcasts. In addition, I assist my wife with her thriving online business. Together, we enjoy our needy lap cats, family, friends, and traveling to warm places.
